Announcing the new CUNY Graduate Center Digital Initiatives Website

Matthew Gold posted this to the CUNY AC DHI group. There are some great examples and references in here:

“Hi All,

I’m delighted to announce the creation of the new CUNY Graduate Center Digital Initiatives website, which is devoted to highlighting digital projects at the GC. Please check it out: https://gcdi.commons.gc.cuny.edu/

And if you have additional projects to suggest, please join our group: https://commons.gc.cuny.edu/groups/gcdi/home/

Many thanks to CUNY Academic Commons community facilitator Scott Voth for his great work on the site.

Best,

Matt”

Wikimania 2012

This year’s Wikimania will be happening in July in Washington, DC, and similar to past years, there will be scholarships available to subsidize recipients’ conference-related costs in part or in full. Wikimania is an amazing event that provides great opportunities for meeting some wonderful people who are passionate about free knowledge.

More information about Wikimania 2012 is here, and more details about the scholarships and how to apply are here (I think the deadline is February 16th). If you are interested in doing a presentation at Wikimania, you can find more information about how to submit your proposal here.
